All the template files for every business object supported by HDL form can be downloaded from the system. The following metalink note can be used as a starting point for preparation of DAT files.

The .dat file layout can be downloaded from the following navigation:
Select Navigator > Data Exchange to open the Dataload work area.
Click Initiate Data Load
If you are trying to upload HR JOBS then Search for JOB and then click on the Download option
The Job template will look something as the following:
To load a sample datafile update the .dat file with the following data.

Save the file as Job.dat and zip the file with Job.zip
Now that the file has been created. Use the Import and Load Data option under HCM Data Loader
Click on the Import File -> Import Local File.
Browse the zip file from local machine and hit the Submit button
After submitting the file, you can use the refresh button to see the progress. If there are no errors in the datafile it number of records will show under the Complete column. For any errors the records will be shown under the Failed column and the error messages will be prompted on the Messages column.
After importing the data navigate to My Workforce -> Workforce Structures
Under Manage Jobs search for the jobs that were uploaded using the .dat file
